Staff is on-hand to answer questions. Guests can pick up mail, diapers, ice bags, baby formula, milk, laundry detergent, and more.

Advocates assist with resources for housing, employment, clothing, and baby supplies. They are located on 2nd floor.
Advocates are available the following hours in rotating shifts.

COVID-19 Procedure Change: Please be in your room to accept meal delivery at the following times. Meals will not be served outside these times.
Breakfast • 7:45am – 8:45am
Lunch • 11:45am – 12:45pm
Dinner • 4:30pm – 5:30pm
COVID-19 Procedure Change: Guests do NOT need to go to the lobby for nightly check in. Instead, Front Desk and Security Staff will randomly select rooms to check between 9:00pm and 10:30pm. Hennepin County still requires everyone on your voucher to stay in shelter every night.
The TRC (Technology Resource Center) is available for guest use Monday–Friday. For the most up-to-date schedule, please see the signage on the TRC door.
The TRC is located on 2nd floor (room 224) by the Advocate offices.

Our Infant Room has openings. Stop by (across from laundry room) for paperwork.
Preschool & Toddler classrooms are currently full. Please see Jami (Office 225) or Meredith (Office 230) to get on the wait list.
COVID-19 Procedure Change: Class sizes to 10. We have implemented a health check station outside of the classroom, before the children are signed in for the day.

COVID-19 Procedure Change: Guests may order shampoo, soap, toothpaste, and other toiletries by filling out Head-to-Toe Order Forms, which can be found in guest mailboxes on Fridays. Guests* who have turned in their orders to Front Desk staff by 3pm Sunday, will be able to pick up their items at the Front Desk on Monday after 1pm.
*To qualify for this service, guests must have completed their one-time “Meet & Greet” with Jocelyn. Ask at the Front Desk to schedule.
Guests may exchange bedding up to twice per week by stopping in at Housekeeping (3rd Floor, take the 1st left from elevators).

money on my mind
People Serving People’s Financial class (Money On My Mind) is a program that teaches basic financial skills to adults staying at the shelter.
The program consists of 3 sessions. Adults who complete all 3 are eligible to receive $100 in a savings account when they move out. Sessions will be held in office 237 by Advocates Tatianna & Jaisy on the second floor.
Sign up in advance is required. See any advocate to sign up. You can sign your family up for 1 session a week, and no more than 2 weeks in advance. If spots are full you can get on a waitlist.
