About us

Leading and growing to serve more families

People Serving People is Minnesota’s largest provider of emergency shelter and comprehensive stabilization programs for families experiencing homelessness. But we don’t stop there. We are also a visionary organization working to ensure every family has what they need—by changing the policies and practices that create family homelessness in the first place. That’s why, in the past three years, we’ve achieved even more for families by:

  • Adding St. Anne's Place shelter and programs to our offerings in 2026
  • Championing legislation at the local and state levels to support families experiencing homelessness
  • Leading a state-wide Homeless Education Collaborative in support of K-12 students experiencing homelessness
  • Building a state-wide Family Shelter Coalition
  • Expanding to serve more families by opening a third shelter location in September 2026
  • Purchasing Covenant Commons in September 2026 and securing a permanent location for our Early Learning Center

Submit Your Application By December 14th

Applications are open and being accepted through Monday, December 14, 2026.
