Shelter Site frequently asked questions

Do I have to pay to enroll my child at the Shelter Site?

Every family enrolled in People Serving People’s Early Learning Center qualifies for a scholarship or assistance program.

The Early Learning Center is funded through Child Care Assistance from the county and available scholarships. All families enrolling in the Shelter Site need to have a form of funding. We are happy to assist you and discuss what funding source best meets your needs. We will also help you in completing the required documents.

What does it mean to be NECPA accredited?

Our NECPA accreditation means that we’ve met the National Early Childhood Program Accreditation (NECPA) standards, which focus on promoting high-quality early childhood education. To achieve it we’ve gone through a rigorous process to ensure our practices align with standards in areas such as teacher-child interactions, staff qualifications, health and safety, and parent-community relationships.
