People Serving People’s success is rooted in community. It takes a community of government partners, corporate donors, foundations, nonprofit organizations, and individuals who partner with us to support families experiencing homelessness.

Community Partner Spotlight

We have so many wonderful community partners, and Four Seasons Minneapolis is one of our most consistently involved organizations. They have supported our families in a myriad of ways since the start of our partnership in May 2025. In less than a year, the staff and residents of Four Seasons Minneapolis have:

  • Started volunteering once a month to serve breakfast to the families in our downtown dining room
  • Donated school supplies for our Back-to-School event
  • Collected toys for our holiday gift drive
  • Set up and run family events like our Holiday Gift Shop and our St. Anne’s Place Halloween celebration
  • Generously donated conference room space and catering for our strategic leadership events

Mark James Syputa, Regional Director of Residences, recently shared how our partnership is strengthened by our mutual values:

“At Four Seasons Minneapolis, we strive to make a positive and enduring impact on our community and in the lives of everyone we connect with. Our Four Seasons For Good team, made up of dedicated employees from across the Hotel, intentionally chose to partner with People Serving People because of our shared values of Belonging, Equity, and Integrity. The hospitality, warmth, and genuine care they extend to their residents reflect the very essence of what we strive to deliver each day to our employees, guests, and residents.”

Cummins, Inc.

Supporting families for more than 20 years

PSP is honored to celebrate one of our longstanding corporate partners, Cummins Inc., which has supported us for over 20 years. Our partnership with Cummins, Inc. began in 2005 because of our shared commitment to children and education. Cummins, Inc. started by serving meals and assisting us with our galas, Cummins has expanded its services to PSP in numerous impactful ways.

Many of the significant projects Cummins has helped us accomplish over the years include assisting us with kitchen upgrades at our Downtown Shelter, rebuilding our doorways at St. Anne’s Place after the attack on our shelter, redesigning our front desk at our Downtown Shelter, installing cubbies for the Early Learning Center, installing our playground, and so much more.

There are so many ways to support People Serving People beyond donating money or serving meals. While they are always needed, there are tremendous ways for corporate partners to motivate their employees to use their skill sets where they are most needed for People Serving People.

Bryn Mawr Presbyterian Church

Bryn Mawr Presbyterian Church has been a strong and supportive partner of St. Anne’s Place for many years. Their dedication to providing special meals for our shelter guests every month and hosting our Santa Night has been vital to our work at St. Anne’s Place.

Bryn Mawr Church began its partnership in the early 2000’s by bringing dinner and books for mothers and their children every month. They initially received a grant to purchase these books, but once the funding dissipated, they began incorporating the purchase into their annual mission budget to support our families.

When we asked for their help with St. Anne’s Place’s annual Santa Night, they stepped up and have continued to sponsor it ever since. Over the years, they’ve also sponsored several former families who have recently moved into permanent housing by providing holiday gifts. Bryn Mawr Presbyterian Church’s partnership has included a willingness to make large pivots to align its support with St. Anne’s Place’s ever-changing needs. We are so grateful for our long-standing and ever-growing partnership!
