A fundraiser for PSP’s Culinary Arts Training Program

A benefit for People Serving People's Culinary Arts Training Program, this August Chefs for Change is a cooking demonstration and an elegant dinner party with a purpose. People Serving People is proud to present the first Chefs for Change dinner featuring past and present students of PSP's Culinary Arts Training Program.

The Culinary Arts training program is a 13-week program dedicated to giving low-income, under trained individuals an opportunity to gain skills in the fast paced environment of the Food Service Industry. Students learn the art of food preparation, roasting, and baking as well as sanitation and equipment use.

At the end of their 13-week course, each student has the task of preparing dinner for the 300+ guests staying at People Serving People. Not only do they create the menu but act as head chef for the day as their meal is prepared and served. They also leave the program with CPR and Serv Safe certification. Each student has the opportunity to meet with job counselors to work on resumes and receive guidance in finding employment in the Food Service Industry.

Join People Serving People in congratulating each of these students in their culinary success. Visit www.peopleservingpeople.org for more information about our Culinary Arts Training Program.
