A benefit for People Serving People, Chefs for Change is a cooking demonstration and an elegant dinner party with a purpose. It is hosted by a variety of top executive chefs from the Twin Cites Metro area – offering an intimate setting of 30-40 guests interested in a "chef's table" experience followed by a five course meal with wine pairings. 100% of proceeds go to People Serving People.
The Oceaniare Seafood Room has regularly hosted Chefs for Change events for the last few years and every event has been extraordinary. From crab cakes to fresh halibut, Executive Chef, Rick Kimmes prepares truly decadent meals, which are still the topic of discussion for many of our regular diners (hint – register early for this one).
"Being involved in Chefs for Change is a great opportunity and one that provides meaningful return by sharing what I thoroughly enjoy – the creative preparation of food," says Rick Kimmes. "When you see someone's eyes light up with amazement by the simple demonstration of what you take for granted, it's a pretty amazing feeling. I'm a chef but also a teacher at heart. If I can combine those factors with an event to benefit people in need, it's an honor."
The Oceanaire's seafood is flown in daily from around the world. They source only top-of-the-catch fish from the world's most reputable suppliers. From the moment it lands on the fisherman's deck to the time it lands on your plate, each catch is carefully coddled to ensure their standards of quality and flavor.
Don't miss out – register now! Join Executive Chef, Rick Kimmes, for a memorable dining experience and cooking demonstration. Visit www.theoceanaire.com for more information about The Oceanaire Seafood Room.
